The Love of Chili

I am guilty.  I am one of those people who thank the Creator in creating chili, and making it part of our daily lives. The picture above was my dinner (I know, it is too much).  I can't help it!

I will write about the benefits of chili.  No, I won't post about disadvantages of loving chili.  Why would I scare myself, right?

Chili is good for metabolism.  If you are on a diet, you may want to add some kick to your food to help you with the digestion.  It can also help you in detoxifying free radicals in your body, and have more healthy cells.  Healthy body and healthy skin start with a healthy cell.

Chili is rich in vitamin C.  In fact, it has more vitamin C content than what you can find in an orange.  It can boost your immunity to help you fight diseases.

Chili contains Capsaicin which stimulates your brain to excrete endorphin .  Chili can help you lower the chance of having heart attack because of its vitamin B6 and folic acid content.  Beta-carotene and folic acid was said to help fight cancer.  It is good in clearing
your nose from mucus, or clearing a congested lung.

Chili can treat Lung and Prostrate cancer.

Here is one recipe from Philippines that can't be more mouth-watering without Chili.

Bicol Express

Pork
Coco Cream (1st and 2nd Extraction)
onion
garlic
ginger
labuyo (chili)
salt and pepper to taste

1. Cube the pork.  Heat the pan and add coco cream (2nd Extraction), onion, garlic and ginger and pork.
2. Bring to boil.
3. Once the liquid has reduced, add the Coco Cream (1st extraction) and lower heat.
4. Add the chili, salt and pepper to taste.
5. Cook until oil is produced.

Perfect with rice.
